Built by Corsair, a benchmark name in sport multihulls, this 2003 Corsair 36 combines speed, stability and easy handling. Build and seakeeping

GRP hull and fibreglass deck for a light 2,500 kg displacement - the power-to-weight ratio is this boat's trump card. A 1.83 m draft and 7.80 m unfolded beam deliver outstanding sail-carrying power and a clean trim under way. The rig is backed up by a bowsprit, mainsail track and car, spinnaker gear and an additional sail wardrobe.

Power and accommodation

A 2016 Honda 15 hp outboard, twin-cylinder with raw-water cooling, shows just 10 hours and is ample for harbour manoeuvres and transits, with a 7-knot cruising speed. Below, 2 cabins and 7 berths, a convertible saloon, a cooker and an electric fridge. The cockpit has a table, cushions and a deck shower, with a bathing ladder for time at anchor.
