North Wind 38ft, 11.7m, built in Barcelona in 1984, major refit in 2023
A classic bluewater cruiser designed by Angus Primrose and Bill Dixon, and built by North Wind Yachts in Spain. She is sturdy, comfortable and seaworthy, with a hull speed of 7.36 knots. Three separate cabins and a new galley. Currently lying in Port Andratx, Mallorca, with delivery available anywhere in the Med.
The boat has had substantial work in recent years. Interior upgrades include a relocated and rebuilt galley, a new nav table, new panelling throughout, new floorboards and new cushions inside and out. A Raymarine chartplotter went in during 2023, along with an inverter and VHF. The rigging was renewed and the service batteries replaced in 2023. Also new in 2023: refrigerator, upholstery, mattresses, bedding, outdoor cushions and bilge pump. She was repainted in 2023.
Power is a Solé Diesel, Mercedes-Benz based, 31kW and 42hp, with 4,766 hours and a recent service. Tankage is 400 litres of fresh water and 180 litres of fuel. The mainsail, genoa and jib have all been serviced.
The Spanish recreational boating certificate was runs to August 2030. Invoices are on file for the major purchases, upgrades and maintenance work, and I am happy to share them with serious buyers.
